JR Spear is the owner and founder of PowerFit Bootcamp. He is a 4th degree Black Belt and has experience in many different styles of Martial Arts. In addition to being the Senior Instructor at PowerFit Bootcamp, JR is a martial arts and fitness instructor, has experience teaching MMA Fitness, Cardio Kickboxing, Individual and Group Personal Training sessions. JR has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration.
JR is an Iraqi Veteran honorably discharged from the United States Navy, Fleet Marine Force. He spent his first tour at Officer Candidate School in Quantico, Virginia from 2003-2006 where he helped train future Marine Corps Officers. From there, JR was stationed at Camp Pendleton, California and was deployed to Iraq with the 1st Marine Division, 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines from 2006-2007. During his time in the military, JR participated in leadership training and assisted in military martial arts and self-defense/combat skills.
JR has passion for helping people achieve their goals and becoming the best they can be, both physically and mentally. He works hard to ensure that client needs are met and strives to give the best customer service to all bootcamp members.
JR is a strong Christian and loves to play the guitar and sing/write worship music. He is a runner, triathlete, and loves to compete in races to help him achieve his personal fitness goals. He plans on competing in his first half Ironman in the near future and someday complete a full Ironman. Some of his lifetime goals are to continue expanding his business, PowerFit Bootcamp, and to be a devoted husband and father.
Dr. Sarah Wilmsmeyer is a nutritionist and pharmacist. After graduating from UMKC in May of 2007, Dr. Sarah continued to seek challenges and went on to manage a pharmacy. After moving to St. Louis in 2009 she was introduced to Nutrition Response Testing?. Even though she begrudgingly started a program she almost instantly fell in love with the work and the results that could be obtained with the basic, systematic approach. Dr. Sarah received her Advanced Clinical Training Certificate in Nutrition Response Testing? in Clearwater, FL in September 2011. She was the first pharmacist to complete the program.
Dr. Sarah’s passion lies in helping people find why they aren’t getting results and why they aren’t getting the health they deserve and need to be able to live the rewarding life they are seeking. She specializes in helping kids with ADD/ADHD and Autism. She also enjoys working with athletes and helping them move their game to the highest level the body can perform at. Dr. Sarah is working on building an army that will take over the health of the nation and the world while assisting those who are looking for a better form of health.
Dr. Sarah is excited to be a part of the Powerfit Bootcamp team and to help clients break through on the food choices that are holding them back.
Kyle Nunnally graduated from Fox High School in 2010 and is now studying at Jefferson College. He has 13 years of experience in Tae Kwon Do, competed in various tournaments, highlighted by participating in the 2003 Junior Olympics, and grew up actively involved in many sports.
Kyle is a dedicated Christian, who attends St. John’s Lutheran Church and uses all aspects of God in his life. He enjoys spending time with his family. He also enjoys hanging out with friends, participating in sports, listening to music, reading and writing. He also loves helping and encouraging others.
Kyle has many lifetime goals which consist of one day having a family of his own, improving upon playing music, staying involved in sports, and to help grow PowerFit Bootcamp into a big and successful program.
Shaun Scott is the co-founder of Scott Health & Fitness and is a nationally competitive Gymnast former national champion, and MMA athlete. He coaches Gymnastics teams of two diciplines out of his club gym Xcel Gymnastics in Chesterfield MO, and is involved with the Sokol Gymnastics not for profit. Working through Scott Health and Fitness he seeks to help as many people as possible take strides in the direction of fit active lifestyles. Having himself lost over 100 lbs and kept it off he is passionate about helping others achieve and maintain their best selves.
Shaun Scott will be working with PowerFit Bootcamp clients participating in the Bootcamp Challenge in the St. Louis area helping them individually reach their personal goals. During training sessions with Shaun Scott clients should expect that time focusing more on technique teaching clients how to better their exercise regimen to achieve maximum results. He is excited to be part of our PowerFit team and looks forward to the opportunity to help as many clients as possible.
Zeke Scott is the co-founder of Scott Health & Fitness and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from Poliquin Strength Institute. He received a Bachelors degree in Business Management and Entrepreneurship from Southeast Missouri State University. He works as a Fitness Coach and Corporate Health Coach and enjoys helping people on their journeys in health! As a competitive athlete he holds a Guinness World Record for backflips off an exercise ball in 1 minute, physique competitor, and former baseball/ football player. He is passionate about weight lifting, nutrition, martial arts, gymnastics, and reading good books.

Alison Sanker has been married for nine years to her wonderful husband, Louis. They have three beautiful children – William (first child), Addison (2nd child), and Averie (third child). She is so grateful and thanks God every day to be so blessed to have an amazing family!!
Alison lives and grew up in Columbia, IL. She is a nurse anesthetist and absolutely loves her job! She graduated from SIUE with a bachelors in nursing in 1999 and also with a masters degree in 2003. She has been interested in fitness from a very young age competing in gymnastics and cheerleading as well as track and volleyball. Exercise and fitness is part of her daily routine and feels that is her personal time for herself. She has a passion for fitness and loves to run. In the past few years Alison started competing in half marathons and absolutely loves the thrill of the events.
In the summer of 2012 she discovered PowerFit Bootcamp and it has completely revived her workouts!! She has never been as motivated and enthusiastic about any workout routine! She is thrilled to be part of PowerFit Bootcamp’s team and is simply amazed to have the opportunity to teach and instruct classes!
Susan is originally from Montgomery, IL. (40 miles West of Chicago). She is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys fishing, hiking, obstacle style racing. She was a multisport athlete her whole life playing Tennis, Basketball and competitive Softball. She attended Illinois State University in Normal, IL where she played softball and received her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Sociology in 1994.
At Illinois State, she met her wonderful husband Bob and they have been married 18 years. They have a son and a daughter together, Rory (15) and Rachael (9). Susan is a follower of Jesus Christ and is an active member of Harvester Christian Church in St. Charles. She wears her faith on her sleeve and believes the greatest thing you can do for a person is to share the gospel with them. Her family goes to New York City every summer with Spreadtruth Ministries to run inner city soccer and basketball camps, VBS as well as set up prayer stations in the streets and parks.
After having children, Susan had taken a break from exercising and eating unhealthy and had gained quite a bit of weight. In the fall of 2010, she made a decision to take back her life and started attending boot camp style classes and eating a balanced diet. Within 2 years, she lost nearly 80 pounds and 8 sizes and has kept it off. Her journey to get stronger and leaner is still going. She learned to love exercising again and turned that passion into a career to help others do the same. In 2012, Susan and her family moved to the St. Louis area and she took that opportunity to become a NASM Certified Personal Trainer. She began taking one on one and small group clients while getting better at what she did. She always loved how boot camp had changed her life and she had a passion to help others do the same thing. When God opened the door to become a part of the Powerfit Instructors Team, she jumped on it.
As a Powerfit Trainer, she understands the struggles that some face when starting a new exercise program, because she has been there. She loves designing quality workouts which will not only challenge the beginner but the seasoned veteran as well. Susan strongly believes that by maintaining a positive, encouraging, and motivating environment at all times, anyone, at any level can reach their goals.
She truly believes in the abilities of all of her clients and stands with them through it all providing support all along their journey. She can’t wait to help you change your life for the better, from the inside out!
Joann was born and raised in St. Louis Missouri. She graduated from the University of Missouri in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business. Go Tigers! Upon graduating college Joann took a job with an up and coming IT Company where she continues to work there today. Growing up Joann enjoyed various sports from Soccer to Cross Country. She took an interest in fitness and nutrition at a young age. Joann’s passion for exercise and nutrition continues today and she believes both are essential keys in living a healthy lifestyle.
It only took one PowerFit Bootcamp class for Joann to get hooked. It was unlike another class she had ever taken. When given the opportunity to become a trainer it was something Joann could not pass up. She believes that she is up for the challenge and more excited than ever. She feels blessed to be given the opportunity to do what she loves and can’t wait help to people achieve their goals they never thought was possible!

Mike has served four years active-duty in the United States Coast Guard and continues to serve in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves. As his Coast Guard unit’s health mentor, Mike volunteers much of his time training fellow Coast Guard members to meet Coast Guard physical fitness requirements as well as weight standards. Mike takes pride in motivating others to achieve their fitness goals and believes that fitness builds the necessary foundation an individual needs to conquer all of life’s ambitions.
Mike is currently a full-time student who enjoys hiking, running, swimming, tennis, baseball, and music. He is thrilled to have the unique opportunity to be part of the PowerFit Bootcamp team and is eager to continue, improve, and share his health and fitness knowledge.
Brandi was born and raised in St. Louis. She has always been an active person and enjoys being outdoors. Brandi has played soccer all her life! She still continues to play soccer as an adult. Brandi has worked as a preschool teacher for over 10 years and really enjoys working with children! She also has a child of her own, a little girl named Holly. Holly is a great child and Brandi enjoys watching her grow and learn. She is her number one fan and is so happy to see her active and enjoying playing sports just as much as she does. She is a pretty outgoing person and loves to be surrounded by others. In her down time she enjoys spending time with friends and family, and watching the cardinals play baseball.
In 2012 Brandi had a collarbone injury that forced her to slow down on physical activity. After regaining her strength and physical abilities, she wanted to find a workout that would help her get back to her normal self and that’s when she found Powerfit Bootcamp. With this program she was able to work on her strength, fitness, and overall well-being. Health and fitness are important aspects of her life and she is very passionate about those aspects. Brandi hopes that with her passion, she is able to help motivate others to be the best they can be!
Neal Boozer was born and raised in Irmo, South Carolina. He has been in athletics as long as he can remember. Growing up Neal played about every sport imagined and has developed a strong desire and passion for fitness because of it. With Neal’s strong background in sports growing up it carried over to him playing collegiate football at Lehigh University. Neal was a four-year letterman of the Mountain Hawk football team, earning second team All-Patriot League honors in 2004. He helped lead Lehigh to an overall record of 36-11 during his four seasons, including two trips to the NCAA Division I-AA playoffs. Following the conclusion of his collegiate career, Neal went on to play one year with the Bolzano Giants of the Italian Football League.
Upon Neal’s return from Italy, he returned back to his high school alma mater Dutch Fork High School in Irmo, S.C., where he was an assistant coach for the football, and basketball teams and assistant head track coach for three seasons. In 2009, he helped lead the Silver Foxes to the South Carolina Class 4A state championship in girls’ track, which was the first major girls sport team state title. After winning a state title Neal went on to join the College of Holy Cross football coaching staff. Neal served as the assistant secondary staff as the cornerbacks coach. During his first season Holy Cross won the Patriot League Championship and earned a spot in the NCAA I-AA playoffs and coaching 3 all-league defensive backs and Seattle Seahawks 2014 Super Bowl Champion Chandler Fenner.
Since 2010, Neal has worked in fitness as a personal trainer and has learned a great deal from learning the gym industry studying and learning from other trainers. Neal’s strong background and passion for sports and fitness, will give PowerFit a lot of energy, excitement and growth. Neal lives to see the success of others and watching them transform their lives. The drive, focus, and determination he will instill in others will get the very best out of each individual through PowerFit Bootcamp.
Lanaea Snead has lived in Columbia, SC most of her life. She grew up playing soccer, many times being the only girl on the team, which made her very competitive. She still loves anything that has a competitive aspect to it, even if she’s just competing with herself.
Lanaea has been married for 18 years and has three kids, ages 14, 11 and 4. She is very busy at home, homeschooling her kids. Her favorite part about homeschooling is that she and her husband get to be the greatest influences in their kid’s lives. Not only do they have the freedom to pursue the education they want, but they have a lot of time together. They exercise, shop and cook together. She gets to do her favorite activities with her family, like swimming, bike riding and roller blading.
Lanaea is also a youth group leader, and being in shape allows her to join in all the fun activities like volleyball, soccer, and ultimate frisbee. She’s also involved in women’s ministry, and she’s excited that she gets to share what she’s learned about fitness and encourage other women to pursue health one good choice at a time.
She started taking PowerFit classes over a year ago, and knew right away it was something she wanted to continue. As time went on, she realized she would love to teach others and encourage them to work hard and persevere through challenges. As soon as an opportunity became available to be an instructor, she jumped on it! She’s excited about learning more about fitness and nutrition and sharing with others the benefits of living in a healthy way.
Marah grew up in Maryland were she was surrounded by athletics and fitness. She comes from a family of athletes (her sister, Marche’ played basketball at the University of Maryland and her brother, Marshall played basketball at Indiana University). At a young age she participated in multiple sports; soccer, track and field, basketball, and volleyball. Through hard work and perseverance, Marah went on to become a basketball High School All-American and was even invited to try out for the 2007 18 and under USA basketball team.
In 2007 Marah was granted a full Division 1 basketball scholarship to the University of Maryland. She quickly gained a starting position on the nationally ranked women’s basketball team. After two years at the University of Maryland, Marah decided to transfer to the University of South Carolina were she completed her undergraduate athletic and academic career with a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science.
Upon graduating from the University of South Carolina in 2011, Marah moved to the Bronx, NY to pursue a Master’s Degree in Urban Studies at Fordham University. Here she continued a pursuit of athletics by becoming captain of the Fordham Lady Rams Basketball team.
Though her basketball career has come to an end, she still considers herself a lifetime athlete and a fitness enthusiast. Her goals are to be the best Instructor she can be every Powerfit class, live a blessed and fit life, and help as many people as possible become the healthiest version of themselves.
Marah is excited to be a part of the Powerfit Bootcamp team and can’t wait to learn more about fitness and healthy living.
Logan Holler is originally from Columbia, SC where she graduated from A.C Flora High School. She has grown up in a Gamecock family and that led to her attending the University of South Carolina. Logan has been playing sports since she was younger from soccer to volleyball, but her main sport was equestrian.
At USC she rode for the Division I equestrian team who won the SEC championship in 2012-2013. She was also on the SEC All Academic team and graduated with a BS in Sport and Entertainment Management. After graduation she interned with the Atlanta Dream before becoming a personal trainer. She became certified the ACE and also is a certified Schwinn spin instructor as well as TRX certified instructor.
A long with her fitness background she also is a professional boxer where she competes with the name “the Blonde Bomber”. Her love of fitness and competition led her to try boxing over two years ago and has been at it ever since.
Logan is also a huge football fan from USC to Green Bay Packers. Her dad played for the Packers under Vince Lombardi and that is who she accredits her love for sports and competition too. Her dad is also where she learned to love the Gamecocks since he played football there in college. During some of her free time she loves watching these teams play with her family.
Logan’s view on fitness is find what works for you. Not everything will work for everyone and you need to find something that is fun for you. If your workout is enjoyable then you are more likely to do it. Powerfit Bootcamp is one of those workouts. She is excited to help her clients everyday push themselves and change their mindset to know that anything is achievable. She is thankful to be a part of this team and thanks God everyday for the blessings he gives her to be able to help people change their lives.
Dan Miller started his college career at St. Cloud State University studying exercise science. Through hard work and determination, Dan dropped from being 315 pounds to 225. After making the change in his body, he transferred to Missouri State University to follow his goal of playing for a division 1 college football team. As his college playing days came to an end, he was invited to the NFL Scouting Combine where Dan put up stellar numbers, and impressed many of the NFL scouts and coaches.
While pursuing his football passion, Dan also continued studying. He became certified as a strength and conditioning coach through International Sports Science Association (ISSA). An eagerness to always learn more, Dan is currently attending the United States Sports Academy (USSA) to extend his knowledge of exercise and sports.
Dan has experience coaching speed and agility programs and CrossFit. With a true passion for sports and exercise, Dan brings a lot of energy and determination to everything he does. He loves helping push others to be the best they can be through the same mentality. Through his knowledge, passion, and hard work, Dan motives you to improve and create the body you were meant to have in helping others improve through the unique PowerFit Bootcamp regimen.
